Katelyn Ball, daughter of Kevin and Linda Ball, is the Senior Ambassador.
Katelyn is a Grade 12 student at Walkerton District Community School, serving as secretary and internal affairs representative on student council.
She works part-time as a dietary student at BruceLea Haven and volunteers with the MS Society, Adrenalin Auto Solutions’s auto show and the Neustadt Lions Club. Her hobbies include horseback riding, swimming, soccer and badminton. She plans on attending university next fall for nursing.
Thirteen-year-old Emma Roberts, the daughter of Jeff and Lisa Roberts, was named as Junior Ambassador for 2016. Emma is a Grade 8 student at Walkerton District Community School. Her hobbies include soccer and dancing and she also enjoys being artistic and cooking and baking for her family. She volunteers at her church and also teaches figure skating.
The first runner-up for Senior Ambassador was Laura Siegfried, the daughter of John and Kathy Siegfried.
Laura is a Grade 9 student at Sacred Heart High School in Walkerton.She is an assistant teacher with DancEngery, teaching students ages two to six in acro dance and volunteers with BruceLea Haven by taking walks with residents in the evening.She enjoys baking, running and swimming.
Runner-up for the Junior crown was Katie Kestner.
Katie, daughter of David and Isabel Kestner, is a Grade 7 student at Mother Teresa School.Her hobbies include art, baking, experimenting with Pinterest projects and learning to plow with an antique John Deere 40 tractor. She also enjoys soccer, curling and karate. She volunteers at her church and also as a bus monitor.Other participants in the competition were Paige Aljoe and Tori Hopcraft (Junior) and Hannah Shepherd and Alex Oestreicher (Senior).
